3 Series E36 M coupe (S50) COUPE
Unscrew nuts.
Remove ignition coils.
Unfasten screws from cylinder-head cover (20 screws on top, in
centre and on underside).
Remove cylinder-head cover.
Take off seals.
Note:
Cylinder-head cover is separated from cylinder head by
rubber mounts and seals to insulate it from vibration.
Carefully note arrangement of cover retaining fixture.

Washer
3.
Rubber seal
Installation note:
Check cover seal and replace if necessary.
Pre-install inner and outer-cover seals at cylinder head.
