3 Series E36 M coupe (S50) COUPE
Identify and mark out point of separation for outside roof frame/C-
pillar on replacement roof frame.
Distance (A) = 500 mm from edge of door window.
Identify and mark out point of separation for outside roof
frame/water gutter on replacement roof frame.
Caution!
Add material thickness of roof outer skin panel for distance
(A).
Distance (A) = 130 mm from contact surface of roof edge plus
material thickness of roof outer skin panel.
Identify and mark out point of separation for outside roof frame/C-
pillar.
Distance (A) = 25 mm = center of opening for cable feed to
luggage compartment lid.
Connect marked points with each other, thereby identifying
separating line.
Cut outside roof frame along identified separating line.
