Removing and installing/replacing luggage
compartment lid lock and striker (Z3 coupé,
M coupé)

Only for removing luggage compartment lid lock (trunk lid
lock upper part):

Remove tailgate trim panel,

refer to 51 49 008.

Lift out actuating rod (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Push luggage compartment lid lock (3) into tailgate and to right.

Installation:

Mount actuating rod tension-free and readjust if necessary.

Check operation with trunk lid open.

Disconnect plug connector (1) and remove luggage compartment
lid lock (2).

Installation:

Adjust luggage compartment lid lock,

refer to 51 24 004.
