3 Series E36 M coupe (S54) COUPE
Caution!
Gas spring struts are removed. Unsecured trunk lid drops
down without damping!
Keep release button pressed down. Close trunk lid.
Note:
Trunk lid lock must not snap into place. Lower section of trunk
lid lock centers itself.
Open tailgate and secure to prevent it from dropping.
Tighten screws (1) in lower section of trunk lid lock.
Check previous adjustments again.
If necessary, repeat work steps.
Clip plastic covers (1) onto lower section of trunk lid lock.
Note:
Do not mix up covers of trunk lid hinges. Pay attention to
identifying markings.
LH = left cover
RH = right cover
Push on cover of trunk lid hinge on left and right.
