Removing and installing complete glass tilt
(frame) (Z3 Coupé, M Coupé)

Note:

For gluing the glass roof frame, adhesives for cold and hot
working are permitted.

Remove trim strip on roof frame, left and right,

refer to 51 13 280.

Remove glass tilt roof cover,

refer to 54 10 100.

Detach motor and gear for glass roof actuation (do not
remove completely),

refer to 54 10 010.

Cold processing:

Comply with instructions on gluing windows,

refer to 51 31 ...

Warm processing:

Open aluminum membrane at rear end of cartridge.

Place cartridge in cartridge oven.

Heat glue cartridges to 80

°

 C for one hour in oven (Sourcing

Reference: BMW Parts Service).

Comply with instructions on gluing windows,

refer to 51 31 ...

Note:

Cover interior of car and roof outer skin panel with protective
covers.
