Removing and installing/replacing rear
muffler (M-roadster)
Caution!
Support rear muffler on jack.
Release screw connections (1) between catalytic converter and
rear muffler.
Installation:
Check gaskets and replace if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Coat thread with copper paste -CRC-, refer to BMW Parts
Service.
Loosen screw (1)
Installation:
After the installation of the exhaust system is complete, move
exhaust bracket to align it without tension and then tighten
securely.
Unfasten hex nuts (1).
