Removing and installing rear trim panel (M
roadster)

Unscrew and remove license plate.

Open trunk lid.

Lift out clips (1) with special tool 00 9 321 (folding leg).

Pull off rear trim panel (1) all around, lift over lock cylinder (2) and
remove towards rear.

Installation:

Retaining lugs (6) must not be damaged.

Clean boot lid.

Pull off adhesive strips (1 ... 5) , clean cementing surface and
apply adhesive strips (1 ... 5).

Upper adhesive strips (1) must be shortened by 5 mm to apply
to top side, as otherwise a gap results.
