3 Series E36 Z3 coupe (M52) COUPE
Caution!
Gas spring struts are under pretension.
Secure trunk lid against dropping down, remove left and right gas
spring struts,
refer to 51 24 300.
Caution!
When closing trunk lid, make sure body and / or trunk lid is
not damaged.
Close trunk lid.
Note:
Trunk lid lock must not rest against lower section of lock.
Adapt gaps and position of trunk lid to body.
To avoid wind noises: Trunk lid (1) must not protrude over roof (2).
Measurement (A) = approx. 1 mm.
Open tailgate and secure to prevent it from dropping.
Tighten down screws (1) on trunk lid hinge on left and right.
Check previous adjustments again.
If necessary, repeat work steps.
