Attach straight blade with adjustable roller (sourcing reference:
BMW Parts Service)  to tool and set measurement (X).

Dimension (X) = 16 mm

Note:

Resharpen knife with machine running.

Carefully insert knife blade between body and side window seal.

Guide blade parallel to side window.

Cut through glue bead at top, bottom and front as close to body as
possible.

Pull out side window with special tool 51 3 010  at front (2nd
person); if necessary, use a scalpel (surgeon's scalpel) to cut
through adhesive bead (in area of B-pillar) carefully from outside.

Installation:

Attach seal (1) in area (A) and position in area (B).

Fix seal (1) with yellow plastic adhesive tape (1) (sourcing
reference: BMW Parts Service) .
