3 Series E36 Z3 (M44) ROADST
Release expansion rivets (1) on rear retainer (convertible top
frame).
Note:
Roof liner must not be damaged.
Installation:
Replace expansion rivets.
Insert expansion rivet for locating hole (1) first.
Locating hole (1) = round hole in wire bracket = 3rd hole from
right
Mark side position of shell crossrail (1).
Drill out any locating rivets if necessary.
Unclip shell crossrail.
Installation:
Align shell crossrail on marking so that roof liner does not
have any folds.
Only steel rivets may be used.
Mark side position of shell crossrail (1), then unclip.
Installation:
Align shell crossrail on marking so that roof liner does not
have any folds.
