Replacing windshield wiper motor
(Z3 Roadster, Z3 Coupé)
Note:
Prior to removal, allow wiper motor to run into rest position (if still
possible).
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Disconnect battery negative lead.
•
Remove complete bracket for windshield wiper system.
Unfasten nut on motor crank and pry off crank from motor.
Note:
Drive rods remain fitted, illustrated without drive rods for sake of
clarity.
Unfasten screws and remove wiper motor from console.
Tightening torque, 61 61 1AZ
.
Installation:
Replace screws.
Screw new wiper motor onto wiper bracket, connect to vehicle
wiring harness and run into rest position.
