Replacing control unit (DME) (Z3)
Note instructions for removal and installation of electronic
control units, refer to
General Information 12 00
Before replacing the control module, always follow the instructions
listed below:
Encode control module,
refer to 12 14 700
Program control module,
refer to 12 14 705
Caution!
Be sure to interrogate fault memory with MoDiC or BMW DIS
and print out fault memory.
Switch off ignition.
Unscrew bolts (1).
Remove cover (2).
Installation:
Install wiring loom (3) with grommet in proper position in cover
(2) (water tightness).
