Press axle journal outwards to gain access to the wheel guide
joint.

Support steering knuckle in position, e.g. with brake support from
wheel alignment unit.

Withdraw wheel guide joint with special tools 31 1 441  / 
31 1 443  / 31 1 445  / 31 1 446 .

Remove rust from lower face of control arm with scraper / wire
brush and clean the bore.

Screw special tool 31 1 448  onto new wheel guide joint as far as
it will go.
