3 Series E36 Z3 (M52TU) ROADST
Unfasten nut.
Installation:
Wrench surface (1) on ball pin must be parallel to absorber
axis.
Replace self-locking nut, install with shim.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 35 7AZ .
Release screws.
Installation:
Clean tapped bores in steering knuckle. Always replace
micro-encapsulated bolts.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 21 4AZ.
Unscrew bolt.
Installation:
Use shim on both sides.
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 21 4AZ.
Remove nuts and take out strut shock-absorber unit.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 31 1AZ.
Important!
M3 / M Roadster: Long sheet-metal flange on thrust bearing
must point in forward direction.
