Replacing magnetic coupling for compressor
(for Nippondenso compressors)
If necessary, remove underbody protection,
refer to 51 47 490
Remove the drive belt,
refer to 64 52 001
Grip drive plate with special tool 64 5 090, unfasten screw (1)
and remove drive plate.
Installation:
Ensure correct clearance A (0.5 ... 0.8 mm) between drive
plate and pulley. If necessary, adjust by installing shims.
Only M51:
Installation:
Unfasten right oil cooler and fold down.
Secure magnetic measuring block to stabilizer and secure
with cable clip to prevent twisting.
