Removing and installing/replacing starter
motor (Z3 / M54)
Observe instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery.
Disconnect battery negative lead from battery.
Perform following tasks from above:
Release nuts (1) and disconnect battery positive leads from starter
motor.
Installation:
Tightening torque, 12 41 4AZ.
Release nuts (1).
Installation:
Tightening torque, 12 41 4AZ.
Detach leads (2) from starter motor.
Detach cable duct (1) of B+ lead from firewall.
Note:
Detach heater valve from bracket in order to improve accessibility
for torque tool (2).
