3 Series E46 316Ci (N45) COUPE
Remove bearing pin of chain guide.
Turn back special tool 11 7 253 .
Remove special tools 11 7 251 and 11 7 252 .
Release screws (1).
Unfasten cylinder head bolts from outside to inside.
Lift off cylinder head.
Installation:
Clean sealing faces of cylinder head and engine block; if
necessary, remove traces of sealing compound with hardwood
spatula. Make sure no gasket remnants drop into oil and cooling
channels.
