3 Series E46 316Ci (N45) COUPE
Insert screws (1) and tighten down.
Check axial play.
If permitted axial clearance is exceeded, check and if necessary
replace crankshaft, guide bearing shells and crankcase.
Axial clearance.
Install hub (2).
Insert central bolt (1) and tighten until hand-tight.
Installing front radial shaft seal:
Screw special tool 11 9 232 with screws (special tool
11 9 234 ) to crankshaft.
RA Replacing all main crankshaft bearing shells (N40/N42/N45/N46)
