3 Series E46 316Ci (N45) COUPE
Important!
Old version (1) conrod bolts (2) M9 (E12 A/F).
New version (4) conrod bolts (3) M8 (E10 A/F).
Mixing up the conrod bolts will result in engine damage (risk
of damage).
Screw special tool 11 2 050 (matching M9 E12 A/F conrod
bolts only) into conrod.
Press out conrod with piston to cylinder head side.
Screw special tool 11 8 330 (matching M8 E10 A/F conrod
bolts only) into conrod.
Press out conrod with piston to cylinder head side.
Important!
Piston and piston pins are paired and must not be fitted
individually.
Lift out retaining ring and press out piston pin.
RA Removing and installing/replacing all pistons (N40 / N42 / N45 / N46)
