Removing and installing/replacing both
solenoid valves (N40/N42/N45/N46)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove intake hood.
Unlock plugs of solenoid valves (1 and 2) and disconnect.
Release screws and remove holder (3).
Pull out solenoid valves (1 and 2).
Note:
The solenoid valve (1) controls the exhaust side adjustment unit.
The solenoid valve (2) controls the inlet side adjustment unit.
Installation:
Check holders (3) for deformation; replace if necessary.
Installation:
Clean sealing surfaces (1) on cylinder head.
Installation:
Replace O-rings (1 and 2) on solenoid valve (3).
