3 Series E46 316Ci (N45) COUPE
On inner side frame (with outer wheel arch section) spare part,
determine and mark out cutting line for C-pillar.
Measurement (A) = 75 mm from end of slot (1) in flange of rear
window frame.
Cut through marked cutting lines.
Make and fit reinforcement plate for C-pillar separating point from
remaining metal sheet.
Reinforcement plate width = approx. 40 mm
Drill holes for plug welding C-pillar reinforcement plate into the
body.
Clean mating surfaces of C-pillar reinforcement plate.
Coat mating surfaces of C-pillar reinforcement plate and C-pillar
with zinc dust paint.
