3 Series E46 316i (N42) SAL
Remove bearing shells (1) from bearing caps.
Note:
Replace bearing shells (1) of needle bearings.
Important!
Bearing shells (1) must be preassembled in bearing bracket
and in bearing cap so that ends of bearing shells (1) face
each other as shown in illustration.
Insert bearing shells (1) into bearing bracket so that it is secured
in bore (2).
Lubricate bearing shells (1) with engine oil.
Insert bearing shells (1) into bearing caps so that they are
secured in bore (2).
Lubricate bearing shells (1) with engine oil.
