3 Series E46 316i (N46) SAL
Clip in oil line (1) and push approx. 20 mm towards rear.
Note:
Retaining clips for oil line are fitted on bearing caps 1 and 4.
Note:
O-rings (1 and 2) are different.
Replace O-rings (1 and 2) on spark plug domes and coat with
engine oil as antiseize agent.
Install spark plug domes (1) on cylinders 2 and 3.
Important!
When fitting bearing bracket:
Align spark plug domes (1) to bearing bracket.
Important!
Rocker arms (1) slip slightly when bearing bracket is fitted.
Make sure rocker arms (1) are secured as illustrated on
hydraulic valve clearance compensating elements and on
valves.
Align rocker arms (1) straight.
