Checking function of Digital Engine
Electronics (DME)
Diagnostic connector in engine compartment:
Connect up MoDiC or BMW DIS.
Interrogate DME fault memory.
Note down fault messages stored in memory.
Further information on troubleshooting in line with DIS or MoDiC
instructions.
OBD socket (1) in driver's footwell:
Same procedure as above.
