3 Series E46 316ti (N40) COMP
Align engine at slackened central bolt to special tool bore in
flywheel.
Secure flywheel with special tool 11 9 190 / 11 5 120 in firing
TDC position of 1st cylinder.
Note:
The engine must not be cranked while the central bolt is
slackened.
The engine remains secured with special tool 11 9 190 /
11 5 120 .
Remove inlet and exhaust adjustment unit.
Note:
Central bolt (1) is tightened down further to approx. 60 Nm.
Special tool 11 9 190 / 11 5 120 may be used for gripping in
order to release the remaining tightening torque.
Remove slackened central bolt (1).
Remove hub (2).
