Replacing air cleaner element (N42 / N40)
Preparatory tasks:
-
Remove acoustic cover
-
Remove intake filter housing
-
Remove intake manifold
-
Remove air-mass flow sensor
The tasks listed above are described in the section Removing and
installing air-mass flow sensor.
Unscrew all bolts.
Remove cover (1) from intake filter housing.
Take out air cleaner element (1) and replace.
Installation:
Clean intake filter housing before installing new air cleaner
element.
Installation:
Insert retaining lugs (3) in opening (4). Suspend retaining
lugs (2) on edge (1). Slide air cleaner element downwards.
