3 Series E46 316ti (N42) COMP
Release special tool 11 9 303 .
Remove special tool 11 9 302 from bearing bracket (1).
Rotate eccentric shaft at hexagon as shown in illustration.
Pretension torsion spring (2) with a cable strap (1) and carefully
fit on roller (3).
Rotate eccentric shaft (1) at hexagon as shown in illustration.
Pull oil line (1) for lubricating exhaust camshaft towards front.
Insert banjo bolt and tighten down.
RA Removing and installing/replacing inlet camshaft (N42/N46)
