Replacing front left door pillar outer section
without reinforcement (front side panel
removed)

Refer to the description texts of the KSD CD (FRU 41 21 540)
for details of stripping-down and rigging work.
Place vehicle on straightening bench.
Open brazed seam (1).
Open welded seams (2).
Open weld spots in area (3).
Open laser weld seams (4).
Open weld seams (1) on door pillar hinges and remove door pillar
hinges.
Open weld spots in areas (2) and remove outer door pillar.
Drill new part in area (1) for plug/spot welding.
Fit new part and MAG plug/spot-weld in area (1).
Spot-weld area (2).
Fit door pillar hinges with straightening attachment (3) and weld
(4).
