3 Series E46 318d (M47TU) SAL
Detach glow control unit including retaining bracket and place to
one side.
Release screw on oil-water heat exchanger.
Remove oil-water heat exchanger.
Installation:
Replace seal.
Vent cooling system and check for leaks.
Assemble vehicle and set down in horizontal position.
Start engine and run at idle until oil indicator lamp goes out.
Switch off engine. Wait approx. 10 minutes and check engine oil
level.
Top up engine oil if necessary.
