Body - special tools
E46 touring
Situation:
For professional repairs on all E46/3 models, the following special tools are required for
removing, assembling and adjustment work.
Please refer to Enclosure 1.
Adjusting aid
Torsion stress may build up when performing repair work on the tailgate and rear window
hinge. This is way it is important that these hinges are aligned parallel to each other when
they are fitted. This is done by fitting the adjusting aid 41 6 250 between the hinges.
Assembly gauge
When performing repairs on the rear window wiper drive, the wiper pivot must be adjusted
to the wiper drive. Assembly gauge 61 1 330 must be used to ensure that the wiper is
quickly aligned.
Procedure:
These tools will be supplied automatically in accordance with the current tools agreement.
