Removing and installing/replacing pressure
sensor on pressure accumulator of injection
system (M47TU)

Read out fault memory of DDE control unit. Turn off
ignition.

Disconnect and connect intake air manifold.

Cover intake ducts.

Caution!

When working on the oil, coolant or fuel circuit, you must
protect the alternator against contamination.

Cover alternator with suitable materials.

Failure to comply with this procedure may result in an
alternator malfunction.

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.

Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.

Disconnect plug (1).

Release clamp (4).

Detach return hose.

Remove pressure lines (5).

Release union nut (6).

Tightening torque of all union nuts. 

Note:

Grip at hexagon head (2) when removing pressure sensor.

Release hexagon screw connection (3) on pressure
accumulator.

Installation:

Secure position of pressure sensor and grip at hexagon head (2).

Tighten down hexagon screw connection (3).

Tightening torque of pressure sensor.
