3 Series E46 318td (M47TU) COMP
Adjusting rear lid height to roof:
Position special tool in area of bore (1) on left and right.
Special tool must rest flush on roof outer skin and rear lid.
Adjust height of trunk lid and tighten nuts.
Install spring elements and shock absorber.
Close trunk lid.
Rear lid must be flush or max. 1 mm lower than side panel at
rear.
Note:
For length compensation, fit a spacer plate (1mm) if necessary on
rear lid hinge.
