Removing and installing / replacing trim for
front left or right roof pillar trim (compact)
Warning!
Version with head airbag:
Follow safety instructions for working on cars with airbag
systems.
Caution!
Do not use sharp-edged tools to remove trim (risk of damage
to head airbag).
Lever out emblem (1) and release screw underneath.
Remove mucket from front roof pillar (A-pillar finisher).
Lever panel (2) inwards out of grommet (3).
Lever panel (2) inwards/upwards out of instrument panel (4) and
remove.
Installation:
Tightening torque 51 43 2AZ.
Installation:
Following parts of panel (4) must not be damaged:

Reinforcement for screw
Warning!
Grommet (1) must not be damaged, replace if necessary.
Guide tab (2) must point to windshield (3). Do not jam head
airbag (4) when installing panel.
