Do "not" remove rocker arm (1) on inlet side.
Important!
Rockers arms (1) are divided into individual tolerance
classes.
The tolerance classes are designated as illustrated with the
numbers from 1 to 4.
Used rocker arms (1) may only be reused in the same
position.
When replacing rocker arms (1) on inlet side: install rocker arms
of the same tolerance class in the same position.
Warning!
Risk of injury and damage possible.
While torsion springs (1) are still installed, knurled screw on
special tool 11 9 301 must not be released.
Only after all the torsion springs have been removed can the
intermediate levers be safely removed.
Remove spark plug domes (1).
Note:
Removal of torsion spring is described on 4th cylinder.
The same procedure is applicable to cylinders 1 to 3.
Place special tool 11 9 390 on bearing bracket.
Note:
Do not tighten down nut (1), install without play only.
Secure special tool 11 9 390 with nut (1).
