Removing and installing left or right front
door trim panel (compact)

Special tools required:

•

00 9 317

Warning!

Side airbag:

Follow safety instructions for working on cars with airbag
systems.

Caution!

Do not use any sharp-edged tools to remove the panel - risk
of damage to side airbag.

Remove clipped-in trim (decorative strip) from door trim panel at
front.

Remove inner door opener on front door.

Remove switch for exterior rearview mirror.

Press down on point (A) and tilt finisher (1) out.

Release screw underneath.

Installation:

Tightening torque 51 41 4AZ.

Lever out airbag emblem (2) with special tool  00 9 317  (trim
panel wedge).

Release screws (3).

Installation:

Tightening torque 51 41 2AZ.
