3 Series E46 318ti (N42) COMP
Release screws (1).
Push holders (2) upwards or sideways (A-pillar) and remove from body.
Release screws (3).
Remove ITS head airbag (4).
Installation:
Observe installation sequence of ITS head airbag (4) without fail:

Tighten down screws (3) to tightening torque 72 12 4AZ .

Snap holders (2) with retaining lugs into place in bore holes on body. Make sure retaining lugs are
correctly seated in body.
·
Tighten down screws (1) to tightening torque 72 12 14AZ .
Installation:
Make sure ITS head airbag (1) is correctly laid.
Lay ITS head airbag under screw protection lugs (3) of
holder (2).
