Alignment brackets
E39, E46
Situation:
A single-piece side frame (A-pillar to rear lights) is used for the first time on E39 and E46
vehicles. In particular, the complete replacement of this side frame places high demands on
repairs. To position the side frame, the respective door hinges are recorded/measured.
This has the effect of reducing the time-consuming task of aligning the doors.
Moreover, a new alignment bracket set manufactured by CELETTE is recommended for
more efficient body repairs on the E39.
CELETTE
The alignment bracket fixtures described below can be used in conjunction with the
overhead bracket (order no. 81 41 9 428 451) to perform all necessary straightening work
to the A and B-pillars.

The additional alignment bracket fixtures described below can be used to perform all
necessary straightening work on the front wheel arch support carrier (as on E46).

CAR-O-LINER
On E39 and E46 vehicles (as on E36 and E38), the side frame is aligned using an
overhead measuring technique on the A and B-pillar hinges. If the side frame has to be
replaced, the hinges are held by the "Car-o-flex" system. This allows all necessary
straightening work to be carried out.
CARBENCH
The alignment bracket fixtures will be recommended in the near future.
Procedure:
All components of the straightening angles sets and overhead bracket sets are in stock as
store tools and will only be delivered to order.
