Replacing left or right cowl panel (partial
replacement)
Read information contained in General body.
Consult the texts of the KSD CD (FRU 41 32 515) for details
of stripping-down and rigging work.
Mark cutting lines on outer cowl panel in accordance with
distances A and B and cut.
Distance (A) = approx. 30 mm from edge of rectangular hole.
Distance (B) = approx. 50 mm from edge of cowl panel shoulder.
Open weld spots in area (1).
Open brazed seam (1).
Open weld seam (2).
Open weld spots in area (3).
Open laser weld seams (4) and remove cowl panel.
Weld in reinforcement plate (2) approx. 25 mm in length.
Fit new part (1).
