3 Series E46 320Ci (M52TU) COUPE
Unscrew bolt (1).
Push A-pillar retainer upwards.
Remove A-pillar retainer at rear towards front.
Installation:
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 72 12 14AZ
During installation, ensure that retaining lug is correctly seated
in body.

Retaining bore for retaining lug of retainer, A-pillar, rear in

Retaining lug on retainer, A-pillar, rear,
must snap into place in retaining bore

ITS head airbag
Unscrew bolt (1).
Push retainer, A-pillar, front, towards rear (2).
Remove retainer, A-pillar, towards front (3).
Installation:
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 72 12 14AZ
During installation, ensure that retaining lug is correctly seated in
body.
Unclip A-pillar wiring harness from retaining lugs of A-pillar trim
holder.
