Special tools for diesel engine M47

Situation: 

Note:

For increased clarity of Special Tools Information bulletins, SI 1 10 98 (337) has been
deleted from TIS and its contents integrated into this Service Information bulletin.

New special tools are required and have been introduced for repairs on the diesel engine
M47. 

Please refer to Enclosures 1, 2 and 3.

The diesel engine M47 is BMW's first 4-cylinder direct injection diesel engine and is first
introduced in E46 vehicles.

Procedure:

Offer tools will be supplied to every contractual partner with a tools agreement. 

Please refer to Enclosure 1.

Store tools will only be supplied to order. 

Please refer to Enclosure 2.
