3 Series E46 320i (M52TU) SAL
If fitted:
Remove engine underguard (1 and 2).
To improve accessibility to starter, remove plastic hoses (1 and 2).
Caution!
Removal, installation and sealing of fuel lines is described in
the Chapter Replacing fuel hoses,
refer to 13 53 540.
Installation:
Clip fuel hoses (1 and 2) into holder (3).
Release nuts (1) and disconnect lines.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 12 41 4AZ
Both starter mounting bolts are best released:
Release starter mounting bolts from transmission output end with
a long extension and a universal joint.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 12 41 1AZ.
