3 Series E46 320td (M47TU) COMP
Note:
Lower front axle support.
Detach cable for oil level sensor from oil sump.
Disconnect plug connection to oil level sensor.
On car with automatic transmissions, detach retaining fixture of oil
lines to heat exchanger.
Release oil sump screws on transmission side.
Release remaining screws and remove oil sump towards rear.
Installation:
Clean sealing surface to remove all gasket remnants.
Apply approx. 3 mm wide, 2 mm high coat of Drei Bond 1209
sealing agent (refer to BMW Parts Service) to the area around
joints (1).
Replace seal.
