3 Series E46 320td (M47TU) COMP
Unclip clips (1) with special tool 00 9 317 (trim panel wedge).
Version without side airbag and without speaker:
Lever out side trim panel (2) upwards/inwards.
Version with side airbag:
Lever side trim panel (2) approx. 20 mm upwards/inwards out of
clip (3).
Version without speaker:
Remove side trim panel (2).
Installation:
If necessary, pull off mucket in area of side trim panel.
Version with loudspeaker:
If necessary, disconnect plug connection (1) on speaker (2).
Unclip cable clip (3) and remove side trim panel.
Warning!
Cable clip (3) must not be damaged and must be correctly
fitted in side trim panel otherwise function of side airbag may
be impaired.
Installation:
If necessary, replace faulty clips (1).
Version with side airbag:
Clip mounting (2) of side trim panel (3) must not be damaged.
Version with side airbag (1):
Installation:
Clips (2) must not be damaged.
If necessary, replace faulty plastic nuts for screw connection.
