Brake fluid changer for drums
All models
Situation:
BMW also offers brake fluid supplied in drums. Two brake fluid changers suitable for use
with drums have been tested in order to eliminate the need to refill existing changer devices
with brake fluid. 2 devices can now be recommended. Their main difference is in the type of
power supply (electric, pneumatic).
The following points apply to both brake fluid changers:
-
No refilling of brake fluid necessary
-
One-man operation
-
Changers for 30 and 60 litre drums
-
Slow pressure build-up ensuring no foaming of brake fluid
-
Depressurisation takes place in reservoir after switching off device
(automatic or manual)
-
Automatic pump cutout when drum empty
-
Level monitoring (indicator lamp and/or acoustic signal)
-
Pressure regulator and pressure gauge, fine particle filter
-
Tank vent valve without direct access to fluid
-
Flushing process through integrated bypass
-
No brake fluid spillage when fitting immersion tube in drum
-
3.5 m filler hose with quick-action coupling
-
Collection flask with scale
-
BMW and ROVER adapter with quick-action coupling
-
CE and GS certificates
Additionally applicable to electrically operated changer (ROMESS) only:
-
Pump option for residual fluid into new drum
-
Level monitoring by means of three indicator lamps
Additionally applicable to pneumatically operated changer (PENTOSIN) only:
-
Fluid monitoring through inspection glass
-
Drip-free coupling elements, releasable under pressure
-
Very low residual liquid volume rendering repumping unnecessary
-
Integrated extraction facility for vehicle reservoir
-
System bled before every brake fluid change
-
Acoustic signal when drum empty
-
Trolley with brake
