3 Series E46 325Ci (M54) COUPE
Insert reinforcement plate (1) approx. 20 mm into C-pillar, locate
and weld up.
Fit inner side frame (with outer wheel arch section) spare part and
locate.
Mark connection faces.
Mark out holes for plug welding C-pillar reinforcement plate.
Remove inner side frame (with outer wheel arch section) spare
part.
Drill holes for plug welding C-pillar reinforcement plate (1).
Clean marked mating surfaces and coat with zinc dust paint.
Adjust spare part to fit and secure.
Weld connection point, inside C-pillar.
At connection point of C-pillar, arrange individual welding spots so
tightly as to create an enclosed seam.
Caution!
Locate welding spots in a way which prevents distortion
caused by heat elongation. Ensure that welded areas have
cooled down sufficiently.
Danger of distortion!
