Adjusting throttle cable for throttle actuator
(M52 engine)
Manual transmission:
Connect DIS or MoDiC to diagnosis socket and select Diagnostic
program/ Engine electrical system/Diagnosis requests.
1.
Accelerator pedal at idle stop
2.
Throttle in idling position.
3.
Adjust throttle cable with adjusting screw (1) so that there is a
clearly detectable clearance in the throttle cable direction
(max: 3 mm).
4.
Adjust adjustment screw at full-throttle stop of accelerator
pedal so that it rests on accelerator pedal at full engine
throttle and there is a throttle valve position of between 80
°
and 84
°
.
5.
Lock M8 nut at full-throttle stop.
Automatic transmission:
Connect DIS or MoDiC to diagnosis socket and select Diagnostic
program/ Engine electrical system/Diagnosis requests.

4.
Adjust kick-down pressure point so as to establish a throttle
position of between 76
°
and 80
°
.
5.
Lock nut at kick-down stop.
6.
Checking kick-down:
Operate accelerator pedal over kick-down pressure point.
Throttle angle must be between 84
°
and 88
°
.
