Remove gasket (1).

Remove gasket remnants from sealing surfaces (2) and clean.

In area of joints (1), apply a bead of sealing compound Drei Bond
1209 (refer to BMW Parts Service) approx. 3 mm high and 2 mm
wide.

Important!

Do not lubricate oil sump gasket.
Observe differing tightening torques of M6 and M8 screws.

Install oil sump with a new gasket.

Insert all screws until contact is made with screw head in each
case. 

Tighten down all screws diagonally and evenly.

Tightening torque,

refer to Technical Data 11 13 2AZ.
