Removing and installing/replacing diesel
pump (supplementary delivery pump)
Remove rear underbody protection from assemblies.
Release screw/nuts (1).
Remove fuel pump cover (2).
E46, M57 without acoustic measure only.
Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Unfasten hose clips (2).
Detach fuel hoses (3) from fuel pump (4).
Release screw (5) on pump bracket.
Withdraw fuel pump from pump bracket (6).
Installation:
Replace hose clamps.
Tightening torque,
refer to 16 12 7AZ.
