3 Series E46 330d (M57TU) TOUR
Secure crankshaft in TDC position with special tool 11 2 300 .
Illustrations show M57.
Caution!
Do not turn the engine back.
Special tool 11 2 300 must be removed before engine is
started.
Position special tool 11 6 321 on inlet camshaft and secure
with special tool 11 6 322 (1).
When releasing camshaft screw connections, grip camshafts with
a wrench at hexagons.
Slacken screws (1) and (2).
Note:
Partially tighten screws (1) and (2) without play, sprocket
wheels can still be rotated with respect to camshaft.
Secure special tools 11 6 321 and 11 6 322 .
Tighten down inlet sprocket wheel with special tool 00 9 120 .
Note:
When tightening screw connection, grip camshaft at hexagon.
Tightening specification, 11 31 4AZ
