Replacing battery positive lead (between
starter motor and B+ terminal) (M54 / M56)
Read fault memory. Switch off ignition.
Observe safety instructions for handling vehicle battery.
Remove front underbody protection.
Follow instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery.
Disconnect battery negative lead from battery and lay to one side.
Open cable duct on lower section of microfilter housing and feed
out battery positive lead (1).
Fold up protective cap (1).
Unscrew nut (2).
Disconnect battery positive lead (3) from connection point.
Installation:
Tightening torque of screw (2), 12 51 4AZ.
